A Georgian Mother of Pearl Tape Measure

A gorgeous Georgian tape measure. This charming item of sewing ware has a carved mother -of-pearl spool, with gilded metal bar supports. The original blue silk tape is present and to the top is a carved mother-of-pearl winder to retract the tape. A charming piece of early sewing ware. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good with no crack, breaks or losses to the mother-of-pearl. There is one supporting bar that appears to be absent, bu this is possible intentional to allow the tape end to be pinned in place. The first half inch of the tape is missing.
