The watch has a good quality Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case was made by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co and is made of ‘silverode’ which is an alloy designed to look like silver. The case has a slight indentation to the back but overall is in good condition with just light surface marks. The screw-on back is a nice sign of quality.

The Philadelphia Watch Case Co came into being in 1888 having formerly been Leichty & Le Bouba. In 1904, the Philadelphia Watch Case Co became the Keystone Watch Case Company so we can date this particular watch to around 1900.

The watch lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is in good condition and it has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain which measures 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
