1912 Waltham Gold Plated Pocket Watch

A 1912 Waltham gold plated pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, grade 614 with a Church 1892 star wheel patent regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 18,621,942 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some scratches where it has been opened in the past.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. Aaron Dennison had close connections with Waltham and made many of their cases. This is the higher end of the gold plated case, with 10ct gold and originally guaranteed to wear for 20 years. The case has a couple of shallow “dings” to the back and some surface marks just from use but overall is very acceptable for a 1912 piece.

The watch glass has a little marking around the edge but not too detrimental at all.

The dial is in beautiful condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
