A splendid pair of mid Victorian gentleman’s spoonback library armchairs dating to c.1860. Button upholstered in a fine deep burgundy leather and with a curvaceous rococo style mahogany show-wood frame with acanthus carved crest and c-scrolls to the back. With super out-curved arms above a serpentine shaped seat and scrolling carved cabriole legs with French scroll feet and ceramic castors.
