Description

Superb mid 19th.c. high back tavern settle with original scumbled paint c.1840. High backrest and beautifully shaped wing ends designed for privacy and to protect the sitters from drafts, with shaped arms and a single plank seat. Note how the base is flared at the rear to provide extra stability. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
