This is a Victorian coal scuttle, a brass fireside piece with integral shovel. English dating to c.1880.

A pleasing mid-size fireside storage bin presented in good antique condition

Decorated with classical motif and adornment standing upon circular plinth base

Generous shovel with turned wooden handle and solid brass knob

Hinged lid lifts to reveal voluminous storage

Suitable for coal, kindling or helpful when removing ash
