The cover decorated with cranes flying amongst flowers, against arcaded panels with scrolled leaves and flowers. the rim and neck decorated with panels of meeting birds. the shoulders of the vase with panels of lions, and scrolled leaves. The box painted with scenes of cranes in flight and roosting amongst an abundantly filled garden. The lower body and foot rim complimenting the decoration of the shoulders and neck of the vase.
