Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.

When the knob at the front is pushed back the dome revolves to reveal a meat draining tray below. These are perfect on a buffet to serve either hot (with hot water beneath) or cold (with crushed ice below) dishes; a very impressive addition to any occasion.

The underside has the mark for the maker's mark for the silversmith, Thomas Bradbury and Sons. This example is also lucky enough to have an English design registration diamond which allows us date this example exactly having been registered for April 5th 1880, a true Victorian example.
Excellent condition spanning 15" handle to handle x 9 1/4" x 9 1/4" tall to top of dome.
