Pair 18th. Century Dutch Mahogany Torchieres. Circa 1760

Description

Fine pair mid 18th. century Dutch cuban mahogany torchieres or candle-stands with square tops having cut corners with edge rim. Finely turned and faceted columns onto bold shaped flat cut out tripod legs with turned patera to terminals. Both have had repairs to legs at some time, but are strong and stable, otherwise in fine original condition. Fine darkish rich colour with good waxed patina. Great to get a matching pair.

Size; 35" high, Tops 10" square.
