The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The movement is signed Joseph Ball 35 London Road Liverpool. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.

The watch itself measures 47.6mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case backs for London 1874 with the makers mark for Joseph Sharpe. The case is in good condition with just some rubbing to the engine turned detail on the back of the watch.

The watch glass has faint surface marking from use although very acceptable.
The enamel dial has a couple of faint hairline cracks at 8 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
