A charming Japanese Meiji period one-piece ivory okimono depicting an eager boy sat on a rug opening a box of toys, next to him is a large woven basket containing more toys including noh masks, paddles, fans, and musical instruments. This splendid okimono is superbly detailed and is signed on the underside, it is in excellent condition with no damage and measures 3 ¼ inches across.
