An absolutely delightful English cast brass novelty inkwell dating to 1880 in the form of kennel and two dogs.

The hinged roof of the kennel reveals the removable porcelain ink chamber and brass ring which sits on top to give it a very finished look.

The two dogs are beautifully cast.

A really substantial solid and heavy piece, perfect for the canine devotee.

Excellent condition with very minor surface dings; measuring 7 1/4" in diameter and standing 4 1/2" tall.
