Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has been recently reupholstered, with button back, with a few marks and slight wear but otherwise good. In a style similar to Howard & Sons, and both legs are stamped with numbers, a sign of quality. A low slung chair that would make a wonderful bedroom chair or dressing table chair.
