A Charming Victorian Mother of Pearl Pin Cushion

Description

A charming pin cushion dating from the mid Victorian period. This collectable and usable piece has two finely carved Mother of Pearl plates. Both feature a shaped central point with intricate bands of reeding and geometric patterning. The outer edges are charmingly scalloped in shape and the green stitching attaches both plates to the central silk pin cushion, also in an attractive teal colour.

Condition :- Very good. The cushion fabric is original. There are some very minor losses to the attaching stitches. These can be seen in the photographs. This does not affect the useability of the item and is commensurate with age and use.
