Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.

The movement is a really rare one: it's a caliber 86.
It was produced from 1922 to 1938.
We think some 4500 were made.
Some features of the movement:
Decoration: brushed or circular graining and Geneva stripes

Surface: different versions
number of functional jewels: 17 or 19
type of balance-spring: Breguet-spring movement-height in mm: 3.65
movement bore in mm: 23.15 movement Ø in Lignes de Paris: 10¼
second-indication at 6:00 frequency in Hertz: 2.50 power reserve:

circa 30 hours.
The case is genuine.
It is very rare to find such a combination.
Looking at the number the watch must be dated to 1938/1939.
Best wishes from Schaffhausen
The case is large measuring 26mm wide x 43mm long.

It has its original winding crown and the dial has been fully restored. The case has been professionally cleaned and polished.
The watch has been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine IWC in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.

It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
