A superb Japanese Meiji period Imperial satsuma Earthenware figurine of Fukurokuju, one of the 7 Japanese lucky goods depicted looking very regal with staff in hand the figure is very finely gilded and hand painted in blue, red, black, and turquoise with imperial mons and chrysanthemums. This large figure is signed at the bottom of the gown reading ‘Grand Japan Satsuma Meigadou’ and is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration; it stands 13 inches tall.
