Always highly sought-after, these popular and hard to find jars are quite charming with the beautifully cast brass face of a handsome owl still retaining his original glass eyes, this example silver plated and the owl retaining a gilded finish.

The pressed or moulded jar is cut and topped with the handsome silver plated lid which fits perfectly. Excellent condition dating to around 1900. The lid diameter measures 3 1/4" and the jar and lid stand 3 1/4" tall.
