Antique Edwardian Mahogany Tall & Narrow Secretaire Bookcase C1900

Antique Edwardian Mahogany Tall & Narrow Secretaire Bookcase and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality Mahogany it has a cornice top with inlaid dental moulding and deep cross banded frieze. There are two Glazed panelled doors with working key and the doors have there original curtains and three internal shelves. To the base there is a narrow serpentine shaped secret drawer which is mahogany lined and strung with Ebony. This is above a false drawer front with original handles and strung with Ebony which falls open to reveal the Secretaire interior with a central cupboard with two small doors strung with Ebony and flanked on either side by three pigeon holes above one small drawer and also its original leather skiver. The Secretaire sits above two doors with Ebony strung oval panels and with an internal shelf. The whole bookcase sits on splayed bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze. The top removes from the base for ease of transporting.
