Loveday Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The central baize section slides out, which to the reverse has a baize roulette border, to reveal an enclosed removable roulette wheel and divided compartments in which cards, chips and the original croupier stick and ball are kept.

The walnut frame has a reeded edge frieze supported by four reeded tapering legs terminating on original brass and porcelain castors.
In excellent condition this very rare games – roulette table has been fully restored using traditional methods having a lovely warm walnut colour. Also in extremely good condition the baize surface which is the original high quality baize (not printed) showing some signs of use which can be seen in the images and as one would expect being over a 100 years old.

A delightful item of furniture which by day is a very formal console table but by night with the top off becomes a completely different story!
For reference: an almost identical table was sold at Christies Lot 418 – 23rd September 2008 London South Kensington in unrestored condition for £4,375
