Description

A very good Regency period Mahogany rectangular tilt-top breakfast table, the highly figured solid mahogany top with rounded corners and a reeded edge above a frieze raised on a turned column terminating in four reeded section sabred legs with conforming brass lion’s paw feet and casters

Circa 1810

The choice of very special timber for this piece along with the sheer quality of construction, the reeded edge and legs etc. all lean to an attribution to Gillows of Lancaster for this fine example
