Superior C19th copy of an important mid C18th Chippendale period mahogany framed armchair. Rich, deep period style carving and patina , excellent grade of selected dense mahogany.
. Raised on shaped cabriole legs with acanthus leaf-carved knees, carved claw-and-ball feet , the seat with carved front rail detail . The drop-in seat upholstered in well-aged leather adding to the period style ambience. Out-swept shaped arms with carved leaf and scroll detail .

Excellent desk or reading armchair in strong , sturdy condition.
Some wear and fading to the polish of the arms , but overall a deep , consistent patination.
A generously proportioned desk or library armchair .
