Carved Oak Potboard Dresser Base C.1870.

Description

Unusual mid 19th.c. oak Jacobean revival potboard dresser base or sideboard c.1870. Single plank top with carved and moulded edge over three drawers. Remarkable 17th.c. style carvings across the front with dolphins, foliate and shield forms. Raised on four turned and carved columns joined with a potboard display shelf with carved front edge and bracket feet. Oak sides, drawer linings and shelf boards. Some old marks and repairs to the top. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
