Description

A very pretty French Louis XVI Style Duchesse Brisee, circa 1900, with carved, beaded and channel moulded frame in original paint. The wingback fauteuil is of good size and has a feather filled loose cushion seat, upholstered in vintage fabric and with nailed borders, the matching footstool is shaped to fit the front of the chair.

Height of back 108cm, Width at outside arms 71cm, Seat depth 55cm, Seat Height 49cm, Total length of chair and stool combined 115cm

Condition: The upholstery is in good condition overall although the fabric on the back of the chair is somewhat grubby and slightly worn through on the edge of the right arm, the footstool has some staining and is a little faded. It would benefit from a steam clean but very useable, the upholstery/springs are in very good order and the feather cushion is nice and plump.
