Georgian Mercury Wheel Barometer Testi Fecit

Description

An early example of a wheel barometer with a rounded pediment. A deep case with parquetery fan inlays and chequered case side banding. A cast brass bezel to the finely engraved silvered dial with horizontal lettering. A long thermometer scale with mercury thermometer.

This is the earliest design of it's style and are seen infrequently. The dial is beautifully engraved 'Testi Fecit'. There are a few Testi makers listed, this is likely to be London circa 1795.
