Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The leather has faded with age and combined with the soft feather cushions it is exceedingly comfortable, the sides can be let down if required but with them up, the occupant can sit cosy and out of draughts. The seat and back cushions are loose and the chair is set on casters, just as well this is a very heavy piece
The chair is 44” high at the back, 38” wide across the front, and 39” deep (The seat is about 18” from the floor)
