The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch is open faced and it has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number of 24827313 dates it back to 1925. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The gold plated case is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition for a piece that is 100 years old with just minor marking. The inner dust cover has a couple of surface scratches.
The glass lens has light surface marking from use although very acceptable.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
