Description

A lovely burr walnut half moon commode, or cupboard, in the Queen Anne style. Well made in walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The half moon shaped top is surrounded with a crisply carved gadrooned border. There are a pair of cupboard doors which are fitted with intricate brass and copper lock plates and handles, they open to reveal a shelved interior which offers good storage capacity. The whole piece stands on elegant squat cabriole legs with carved detailing to the knees. In overall excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale with a great mellow colour and patina.
