Japanese Meiji Period Carved Shodana Cabinet

Description

Japanese, Circa 1870.

This petite cabinet is very decorative and in nice condition.

Consisting of 2 sliding doors at the top, 3 shelves in the middle and a cupboard either side of a cubby hole and 2 drawers at the bottom.

The panels are all beautifully hand painted and decorated with bone and mother of pearl inlay.

There is a fretwork carved gallery around the top and cut off panels on the sides.
