Antique Victorian Oak Rocking Chair Arts & Crafts C1890

Description

Lovely antique victorian arts & crafts oak rocking chair with liberty fabric c1890

This is a lovely antique victorian arts & crafts oak rocking chair and dating from around 1890. Constructed from solid oak it has a tub shaped upholstered back rest with shaped and rolled padded headrest with oak side supports and stylised curved arm rests on an X framed oak support. It has a deep upholstered seat and is supported on oak rockers joined by an oak stretcher. This beautiful arts & crafts chair has been totally reupholstered in a quality liberty/william morris fabric and completely in keeping with the age and style of the chair. It is very very comfortable and in excellent condition being sound and solid and which oozes the charm and character of the arts & crafts period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: 37" high X seat height 15" X depth 33" X width
