Art Nouveau Hunter Pocket Watch and Albert, 1912

A beautiful Art Nouveau Elgin full hunter pocket watch and albert.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 292, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 16,872,765 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover (there are some scratches on this inner cover).

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is exquisitely detailed on both the front and the back with Art Nouveau patterns. There is a little unevenness to the case back but nothing too serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. When the original glasses lenses broke, they were often replaced with acrylic as it is a much more durable material.

The enamel double sunk dial is in good condition, just a faint hairline to the sub seconds dial. Blued steel hands and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a beautiful, and unusual, Art Nouveau albert which measures 15cm long.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
