An Early Victorian Silver Thimble Case and Thimble.

A rare example of Victorian silver sewing ware. This is a lovely thimble case, fully hallmarked, with a hinged lid and knop. The interior has a silk lining to contain the thimble. There is an associated hallmarked silver thimble included. The front is engraved with TG October 25th 1860 and below FG June 15th 1886, possibly suggesting a Mother and Daughter may have owned it. A fine collector's piece, usable today.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full set to base and part marks to lid. Loss to the Maker's mark.
