Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery of this era is characterised by geometric shapes, clean lines, and architectural proportions. Solitaire engagement rings from the late Art Deco and retro transition period often featured large central diamonds set in streamlined platinum or white metal mounts.

Rings from this era were primarily crafted using platinum or 18-carat white gold due to their durability and neutral white finish. Central gemstones were predominantly Old European cut or transitional cut diamonds secured by multiple claw settings.

Authentic Old European cut diamonds feature a round outline with a high crown, small table facet, deep pavilion, and a flat culet visible through the centre of the stone. Hand-engraved detail or period hallmarks on the interior band further verify authentic mid-20th-century origins.

Vintage diamond solitaire rings pair easily with modern minimalist wardrobe pieces and modern wedding bands. When displayed in a dressing room or vanity tray, classic diamond rings function as refined decorative accents alongside glass and metallic containers.

Clean the ring using warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush to remove dust from behind the setting. Have a professional jeweller inspect the claws periodically to ensure the central stone remains securely mounted.
