Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The front of the cupboard has superb crisp carvings, both geometric and the traditional acanthus leaves.

The top of the cupboard has an outward sweeping carved cornice matching the deep carved plinth at the bottom, the fittings of the cupboard are in brass, it has a key for the cupboard door and it sits on neat bun feet

Inside, the cupboard has removable shelves and beneath the bottom shelf a large secret compartment
The cupboard is in very good condition for a piece of this age
The cupboard stands 52” high it is 20” deep and 35” wide
