A superb solid silver and frosted glass butter / caviar dish. The silverwork is a wonderful pierced design with a lovely beaded edge to the top and a banded base. The handles are a charming shape that further enhance the attractiveness of this item and it sits of four neat ball feet. The glass liner is subtly frosted and has a star cut within the centre of the base. The marker''s marks for Harrison & Hipwood can be seen just below the beaded edge (see image 4). Very clear hallmarks are also visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1921 along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.
Attention to the smallest detail is apparent in this very fine butter dish. The silverwork is of the finest.
Condition: This item is in great antique condition.
