Japanese Satsuma Ware Vase Meiji Period

A finely detailed Japanese Meiji period satsuma porcelain vase with a square fluted body and circular flared neck, hand painted and gilded with figures on three of the sides depicting a young boy looking back tentatively at two women while he is beckoned by two men in front of him. This beautiful vase is finished with bamboo shoots around the neck and superb gold dot work to form the background, finely outlined it has a border around the foot and apart from typical light wear it is in excellent condition standing 7 inches tall.
