A superb Meiji period Japanese porcelain stick stand of cylindrical form painted with trees, blossoms and an exotic bird in red and underglazed blue with gold highlights. The scene is set within scrolled and floral borders in underglazed blue. The condition of this stick stand is excellent, it stands evenly on the base and is very stable. This dramatic oriental stick stand would we a dramatic decorative addition to any interior.
