These pairs of original Swedish Art Deco armchairs with the square backs are getting harder to find. We have plenty of pairs with shaped fluted backs right now, but this is the only square back pair. I don't think the wood is the usual satin birch & I'm not 100% sure which wood it is, but the colour is still quite light & similar to satin birch. As usual, they have hand coiled springs & have all been re-upholstered in a neutral fabric to a very high standard. These armchairs are very comfortable, in excellent condition & date from around the 1930's period. What's nice about these chairs is the fact that they are not too large but still have generous seating proportions.
