Antique English Sterling Silver and Mother of Pearl Serving Set

Description

A beautiful three piece boxed serving set comprising a butter knife, a jam/preserve spoon and a pickle fork.

The handles are made from Mother of Pearl or Nacre, intricately hand-carved showcasing the iridescent quality of this beautiful shell. Paired with English Sterling silver, they are quite exceptional with engraved decoration.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1899 / 1902, making them late Victorian in era. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Henry Williamson Ltd. Complete in their original presentation case, these would make a wonderful gift.

Excellent condition the knife measures 7 7/8"; the fork, 8 1/4" and the spoon, 7 1/2"; the box measuring 9 1/4" x 4" x 1".
