Antique French Napoleon III Crystal Box with Signed Enamel Inset

Description

An exceptional cut crystal box, beautifully shaped with a star cut base. The box is smothered in Dore Bronze mounts (gold on bronze) with a solid gilded bronze hinged lid. The centre of the lid has an exquisite figural enamel plaque inset which is signed to the right hand side with initials.

The inside of the lid is lucky enough to retain it's original bevelled mirror.

Superb in every way and is excellent undamaged condition. 5" x 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" tall. Dates to c.1850.
