Description

A gents 1930s Bulova wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 10AE, which is working nicely. The movement is signed Bulova and it has the date symbol for 1939.

The watch itself measures 24.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 29mm high excluding the lugs... it would suit a man with a slim wrist. The case is gold filled and is signed on the back with the Bulova name. There is also an inscription which reads, ‘Jack ~ Mary 25-12-39’. Overall the front of the case is in good condition for such an early piece, just the odd small amount of rubbing. On the back of the watch, there is more significant wear to the plate by the winding crown, just from years of use.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition with just the odd minor mark.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
