Exceptional Sterling Silver and Guilloche Enamel Pill Box - 1928

Description

A truly exceptional example, this large pill box is made from a heavy good gauge of sterling silver, originally from the continent and marked 925, imported to England with a full English import mark for London 1928.

The box is covered with an exquisite coloured guilloche enamel, a bluish grey, including the sides showcasing the design below, the top is further decorated with a ring of pale blue enamel.

The box opens to reveal a lavishly enamelled interior and a mirror to the inside or the lid.

Superb condition and quality. 2" in diameter and weighing 43.8 Grams / 1.41 Troy Ounces.
