Portable Collector’s Specimen Cabinet C.1890.

Description

Fabulous late 19th.c. portable walnut collector’s specimen cabinet c.1890. Walnut case with locking glazed door which opens to reveal 25 slim drawers each divided into three sections and with a velvet lining – ideal for a collection of coins, medals etc. Superb quality, each drawer with dovetailed hardwood sides and original turned and ebonised knobs with numbered fronts (one, number 14, is a replacement). Original brass carry handle and lock. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops, Key supplied.
