Antique Solid Silver Tea Strainer - Asprey

An unusual solid sterling silver tea strainer with drip bowl.
 
Clearly hallmarked on the base for London 1908 with the maker''s mark for Charles & George Asprey. The base is also stamped with ''ASPREY LONDON'' and the patent number 13245.
 
The ivory stick handle is in good condition, with a slight side-wards wobble. The plain bowl beneath the strainer has a small rim around the inside and a charming spout. The pierced bowl above is suspended by two scroll arms.
