Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The thick opaque glass as a slight opalescent quality to it which looks very attractive both lit and unlit.
The shade can be removed easily by unscrewing the two chrome plates which are at the top and bottom of the light. These lights are many possibility's of where they would look great, office , hall way, bathroom. They are a great size too measuring 31 cm height 14 cm width.
Condition is as good as you could ask for to be honest, minimal signs of age.
The backing plate is stamped inside:
