A 1920s Junghans Galonne Cased Pocket Watch

Description

A 1920s Junghans galonne cased pocket watch

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped Junghans. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel with a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the hinged case back, known as a galonne case. The case back has a vacant cartouche to the centre. The case has light surface marking from use and a couple of small "dings" to the back and some wear to the gold wash mainly to the bezel but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.

The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed with the retailers name Paul Söngen Elbeifeld. The dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
