Description

This antique French marble top bombe chest came out of a London residence & was being used along with a similar chest either side of the bed. Although they are different they do compliment each other, so they might be worth considering together. Either way, they are also nice individually. Check out the other one on the site. This one has the original marble top, ormolu mounts, escutcheons, handles & feet. It's in good original condition & has plenty of character. The wood is predominately Kingwood with inlay & shaped cross banding. This piece still retains it's original locks & the mounts are fine quality. I would date this to around the 1890 period.
