Elegant English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame

1900 - 1920

Description

An unusual and elegant photograph frame dating to 1918, 99 years old and soon to be a true antique example.

The front is made from a good gauge of sterling silver, shaped to incorporate two legs with a glazed oval aperture, ready to accept a picture measuring 3 1/4" x 2 1/4".

The backing is made from solid English Oak with a a folding easel stand. The back of one of the legs is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1918.

A lovely quality example in excellent condition with an overall measurement of 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide x 1/2" thick.
