An antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1910.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement with jewelled pallets, Church 1892 Starwheel regulator and damascening, all major extra expense at the time of manufacture. The movement is working well. It is fully signed and the serial number 15963667 dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for Birmingham 1910 with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison who was heavily involved in Waltham before emigrating to the UK to set up a watch case manufacturing company. The front and sides of the case are in lovely condition. The back has a slight unevenness and some wear to the engine turned detail but overall it is in nice condition for a 1910s watch.

The glass lens is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The white enamel dial is signed Waltham and is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands with a blued steel sub second hand (possibly later although antique.)

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
