A superb quality small gilt side table either by or retailed by S&H Jewells of Holborn London. The table is typical of Victorian revival designs of earlier furniture and this table is inspired by the Rococo work of the Eighteenth century and makers like Chippendale. The table is of a very high quality as would be expected of a good London maker. The table is on cabriole legs united by a cross stretcher and all covered in rococo scrollwork. The condition of the table is excellent the gilding is all original and has beautifully worn in all the right places. The whole is in excellent country house condition, it has had some minor repairs but not really visible and it would have originally had castors. The white carrara marble top which is beautifully flecked in pink is not the original and has been made specifically for it.
