Description

A superb quality burr walnut and inlaid Victorian games and sewing table. The rectangular top having an inlaid chess board in boxwood and ebony with further decorative floral inlay to either side and opens to reveal a green baize lined interior. The front having an arrangement of 3 drawers all with boxwood line inlay, the centre drawer lined with boxwood. The sliding work box with conforming inlay and the whole is raised on dual turned and carved end supports with carved out swept legs and original brass and pottery casters. The base is united by a shaped and carved cross stretcher. In excellent condition, restored too a very high standard in our own workshops. English made circa 1870. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
